The 3-day Summit Rinjani trek is crafted to encompass a comprehensive exploration of all facets of Mount Rinjani, commencing from the Sembalun trekking trail and concluding through the Senaru trekking route. This program ensures an optimal trekking experience and an adventurous journey.

The Sembalun trek route presents expansive vistas of the lush savanna at the eastern entrance. Witness spectacular sunset views of Lake Segara Anak nestled within the volcano’s crater and experience the best sunrise over the summit. Encounter the unique Lake Segara Anak and its hot spring waters, marvel at the amazing views from the Senaru crater rim overlooking Segara Anak (both at sunset and sunrise), and appreciate the incredible sights of the grand tropical forest and the Gili Islands.

This trekking program is unsuitable for inexperienced trekkers and necessitates a high level of fitness and endurance. Individuals with mountain sickness or height phobia are not permitted to participate in this tour. While tours can depart on any day, they are subject to cancellation if weather conditions do not permit.

Trekking Itinerary

Visitors typically arrive at Pemenang port, either from Bali or the Gili Islands, while some may choose to arrive via Lombok airport. Regardless of the entry point, our comprehensive package includes transportation to our welcoming homestay in Senaru. Upon arrival, a delightful dinner awaits you, complemented by the opportunity to savor stunning views from our outdoor dining area, where playful monkeys may be spotted below. Additionally, our homestay provides convenient access to the nearby Tiu Kelep waterfall, just a 20-minute walk away, with the trail conveniently starting right in front of our accommodation.

  • Awaken at 6:00 AM and partake in breakfast.
  • By 7:00 AM, embark on a 45-60 minute transfer to Sembalun village.
  • Complete registration at Rinjani Information Center (RIC) at 1051m.
  • Initiate the trek to POS 1 (Pos Pemantauan 1,300 M) with a 2-hour walk, followed by a 10-minute rest at POS 1.
  • Proceed to POS 2 for an hour (Pos Tengengean 1,500m), taking a 10-minute break.
  • Continue to POS 3 (Pada Balong 1,800m) with a 1-hour walk. Lunch will be prepared at POS 3, with a 2-hour rest.
  • Press on for another 3 hours to Crater Rim (Plawangan Sembalun 2,639m).
  • Enjoy dinner and spend the night at Crater Rim Sembalun, relishing the sunset and anticipating the sunrise for the next day.
  • Awaken at 02:30 AM, indulge in a light breakfast, then depart at 03:00 AM.
  • Head towards Summit Rinjani (3,726m) with an estimated walking time of approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes.
  • From the summit, relish panoramic views of Lombok Island, Bali, Sumbawa, and Segara Anak Lake.
  • Return to camp for breakfast, then descend to Segara Anak Lake and Hot Spring water for a 3-hour trek.
  • Lunch will be provided by Lake Segara Anak, and the hot spring water is just a short 100-meter walk from the lake.
  • Following the hot spring water experience, prepare for a 3-hour ascent to the Crater Rim of Senaru.
  • Camp will be set up on the Crater Rim of Senaru, allowing you to enjoy an incredible sunset over Mount Agung in Bali.
  • Conclude the day with dinner and a well-deserved rest
  • Following breakfast and the enjoyment of the sunrise, get ready to descend to Senaru village.
  • Lunch will be arranged along the way, between POS 2 or POS EXTRA.
  • Reach Senaru Rinjani Trekking Centre around 13:00 PM.
  • Prepare for further arrangements at our office, whether it be a transfer to Senggigi, Mataram, or Bangsal Harbor if you intend to visit the Gili Islands
